ROBOTMAIDS

Definition

What is a robot maid?

A robot maid is a physical robot that carries out useful household work. Shape does not decide the category; the work does.

Four useful groups

Specialist cleaners already vacuum, mop and maintain floors reliably. Some now manipulate light objects as part of cleaning.

Task specialists concentrate on one awkward job. Isaac 0, for example, folds household laundry.

Mobile household manipulators move around a home and use arms to handle objects. Memo, Isaac 1 and CLOiD fit this broad engineering route.

Humanoid home robots add legs and human-like reach. NEO and onero H1 target this form.

What sits outside the definition

Voice assistants, stationary smart displays and software agents may control a home, but they do not physically perform household work. RobotMaids tracks physical action: moving, cleaning, carrying, folding, loading and similar jobs.

Why the category is widening

Robot vacuums solved navigation before general manipulation became practical. The current generation adds arms, better hands, stronger vision systems and policies trained for longer household sequences. That creates a continuum from appliance to general home robot.
